first days...

so the middle one just started kindergarten...

i can't believe that...

the oldest one just started her senior year...

can't believe that one either...

when we got the middle one the oldest one was starting the 6th grade...

wow...

time goes by way too quickly...

this time next year the oldest one will be away to college...

i don't want to think about it...

but yet i do, everyday...

the middle one is going to be as old as the oldest one before i know it...

but for right now we'll just enjoy kindergarten and not think about that...

we'll just pretend that isn't going to happen and enjoy everyday...

a little somethin...

funny! if you wanna little giggle head on over here...

wise words...

"Sisters, find some time for yourself to cultivate your gifts and interests. Pick one or two things that you would like to learn or do that will enrich your life, and make time for them. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well and if you are not setting aside a little time for what replenishes you, you will have less and less to give to others, even to your children. Avoid any kind of substance abuse, mistakenly thinking that it will help you accomplish more. And don't allow yourself to be caught up in the time-wasting, mind-numbing things like television soap operas or surfing the Internet. Turn to the Lord in faith, and you will know what to do and how to do it."

~M. Russell Ballard

~you know how you read those blogs and then you wonder, how did i find this in the first place? well this is one of those blogs. i love this lady and would love to be her friend. you have to read brooklyn's blog, it's about her daughter and it'll make you cry and feel so blessed all at once. she has this quote on the side of her blog and i needed it and thought maybe someone else would today too.

lucky star...

well i'm thinking that lately i've been sitting under a lucky star...

i won this little darling a month or so ago on a blog give away...just perfect in my kitchen windowsill.

and just yesterday this showed up in the mail because i won another drawing on sadie olive, one of my very favorite spots to visit. she is lovely...

and i know to some this may seem a little wacky but to a junktique type of gal this is a lucky find. one of mady's teachers gave this to her to use for a garage sale and we snatched it up...yup it's an old movie screen...just perfect as a blind on our new patio cover. lucky, lucky.

so, lucky star, please stay over me until after september 26th. that's all i ask...good weather, lots of fun and lots of customers, please, please, please!;D

mybug...

6 yrs ago a little miraculous bundle of joy came to live at our house. she was 9lbs 14 oz of pure heaven wrapped in a pink blanket. she and i fell in love at once. i spent her first night at home holding her, playing with her fingers and toes, singing christmas songs to her, and just being amazed that she was going to be my girl. my little one who grew in my heart and not my belly.

two days ago we celebrated my middle ones birthday. 6! oh my how the time flies by. she wanted to go eat at the place with the train where it's dark...spaghetti factory at trolley square. it's her most favorite place and spaghetti is her most favorite food. it's also the first time she's asked to take a friend a long and so we took her little friend kami from across the street.

the small one...she's a total ham.

maya and kami hanging out of the trolley...of course we HAD to eat on the trolley!

the dark place with the train...seriously that's how she describes it to me. love that kid. try figuring that one out after a year of not being there and having that conversation come right out of the blue sky. it took me a full 5 minutes to guess what she was talking about and she wouldn't give up the fact that we had eaten spaghetti there. turkey.

look at the pure joy that is on that face...they are singing the happy birthday song to her. those spaghetti singers have never made someone so happy.

and then it was off to the aquarium...where i got no decent pictures. i ehat my camera...actually it's not mine it's dave's and it sucks and that's a whole nother story.

but dang did those kids have fun. that's a pretty neat little place. they have a stingray pool where you can touch the stingrays and maya was having none of that touching those things. she just sat back and watched them really quietly while the rest of the kids there ran around like crazy people trying to touch those things. she's an interesting little girl, my maya. i've never met anyone quite like her...and she has stolen my heart.

family reunion...

i had the pleasure, yes i said pleasure, of spending the entire weekend with my family. my sister ginny was there with her amazing family...my brother alan spent a night and day with us...and my mom and lynn popped in for a little while. everyone was in and out but it was sooo good to see them and get to relax and enjoy being together. i have an awesome family and there really isn't a one of them that i'm not awfully fond of.

we got to stay in a quaint little house in midway...a creek running just outside the door...and just a few minutes away from the lake and the mountains. oh and LOTS of big spiders! eeek! we ate lots of good food and played games and just sat and b.s'd. good times. of course we also enjoyed the lake...

mady and ginny, the wind was blowing super hard...
my bro-in-law, jon, riding with sammy and maya...that was before he got tipped right off of there!:D
sammy, maya and peytie getting ready for a ride!

we also ventured to the mountains, where it was actually cold!!! yay!!!

smell that leaf?
(i know you can't actually smell it silly, use your imagination!)
that is what fall smells like and it was almost in the air up in the mountains. yum.
morgan and maya went 4-wheeling.
peytie waited very patiently and got to ride with ginny and lauren for a little bit. she and i rode in the truck behind the 4-wheelers, which i was more than happy to do. it was only 54 degrees outside! perfect when your in the truck, with the heater on and the windows rolled down. the best of both worlds!
i just missed a big fiance' hug between gretchen and griffin... can i get an awwww?...my little niece is engaged and getting married in two and 1/2 weeks! gretchen was freezing!

then there was the time in the house where aunt marci got to pester everyone with the camera...

sammy was nice enough to let maya play on her i-touch and peytie was right in there with her!
the attic where i got to sleep with my homies.
HA! that's what you get for not reading my blog morgana!
maya and peyton stayed up as late as they wanted and sang and read and danced around.
while me and sam read, peyton read too.
NO!
please sam...please...just one, come on! what a cutie, eh? my very very sweet little niece sam who both of my girls ADORE! seriously, we were going to take maya to the movies all by herself one day and she CRIED because she wanted to go to sammy's with peyton. peyton asks about her at least once a day. love this girl.

and then we returned to the lake...

mady and morgie...these two are great cousins!
possibly my favorite girl in the world, my niece lauren. she was in HEAVEN driving the boat! uncle dave just let her go and she did a pretty good job. of course now she thinks her dad needs to teach her to drive the truck.:D
big d worked hard trying to get these two off of the tube...they did a pretty dang good job hangin on!
the man and maya...i couldn't get him doing the back flip off the back of the tube...he's a wild man and a dang good dad and uncle.

i want to give a big shout out to my sister...she is an amazing mom, sister, aunt and wife and i am so lucky to have her. she took care of everyone up there and took care of getting us there in the first place. i appreciate her and her awesomeness. i love you big sister!

a beautiful night...

for one beautiful night and two almost full days i got to run away with my honey to one of my favorite little spots....
you may recognize it from last year, we stayed here during raspberry days. we decided not to actually do the craft fair this year but we missed bear lake so off we went. two of our favorite people came along for the ride...thanks rob & denise!...and we had lots and lots of fun and got to relax! can i hear a yay! for getting away together....alone. i always love, love, love to go away and feel like a wife for a couple of days. but guess what? i love, love, love all of the hugs and kisses that come my way when i get home. they probably need a break from me as much as i need a break, eh?

~side note...the first couple of vendor profiles are on the fallow field farm blog. why don't you hop on over, check them out, and maybe give em a little love.;D
